The VR video quality experience is determined by the monocular resolution. The VR immersive terminal (HMD) has a much higher field of view than the traditional terminal (TV / PC). The same level of image quality and the same PPD requirements requires higher monocular resolution and full viewing angle resolution. Too low picture quality could cause visual fatigue and dizziness. 8K is the necessary resolution to achieve satisfactory video quality (FOV=90, full view resolution=8K, corresponding to PPD=22, the actual picture experience is only equivalent to traditional SD video).
