- In 1Q18, Apple’s 3 new iPhone (X and 8 series) are ranked at top 3 in the global smartphone market, owning 11% market share. Apple iPhone leads the mature markets (NA and WE). On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy J series leads the remainder markets, except for Asia markets. Xiaomi Redmi 5A is the top 1 in APAC market, driven by the Indian market.
- Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone X (not surprisingly) lead the premium segment ($600>), while Samsung Galaxy J series is dominant in the low-end segment ($100<$300).
